THE FRED DIBNAH HERITAGE CENTRE is now open for tours!
Visitors will have a guided tour of the wonderful grounds, workshops and machinery, collected by Fred over his working life, and will then be able to sit and relax in the garden, the snug or the lounge, and take in the atmosphere of this amazing piece of Engish history!
Refreshments will be available and there will be a superb range of memorabilia and souvenir's to purchase. Visitors must pre book as we will not be able to allow people who just turn up on entry!
The cost of each ticket per person is £12 - please note that we have discounts for Coach Parties so please contact us first.
Due to ongoing work to improve the centre and to make your experience here more enjoyable, are list of opening hours can be found below. We hope you have a fascinating time at Fred's Heritage Centre, its humble beginnings, its time of 'steam up', the years after Fred left us and now the magical transformation of a working Heritage Centre again!!
Sterling work has gone in to the Heritage Centre by Leon and Jan and it is by their great efforts do we now see Fred's yard open for the public - and rightly so! Fred would have wanted his memory to live on in a 'hands on approach'!

WE NEED YOU!!
Although we have a 'Wish List' on the website, there are a couple of items that we need some help to procure! Perhaps you can help us to help the Heritage Centre! Items that we are looking at:
1 - Mini-Digger!
Can anyone lend us a Mini-Digger for a couple of jobs that are needed in the yard? We are after one to borrow to save lots of time and effort and we promise we are not taking anything up that we shouldn't! If you have access to one, own one or hire them out and could 'do us a borrow' for a little while, we would be more than grateful!!
2 - A 1972-1984 Land Rover 88in Series III truckcab
As you know, Fred was never seen without his trusty Land Rover, but his has now gone in to storage.
After fred's death, the Landy was left in the yard until it was taken out and put in to storage. We are looking for the above model so that we can fettle it to make it look exactly like Fred's landy and have it displayed in the Yard. Do you know of one sitting there that you would donate to the Heritage Centre? We would certainly give you an excellent advert on the side of the Landy to show where it has come from!
As long as it is mechanically sound then we can certainly work our wonders up here with our local friends and motor mechanics!
